It's not on Life Support yet, but...

My beloved camera is finally showing signs of age and over-use: it freezes and powers off without warning now: a most unsettling development that is causing me to miss a lot of good shots and, sadly, has become almost a daily event.
Granted, it's been "rode hard and put away wet" more times than it should, and the 25,000+ images shot over the last 3-1/2 years in all sorts of weather conditions are probably far beyond what it was ever designed to withstand.

I suppose when it finally quits completely I will have time (or be forced) to sit at the computer and begin the daunting task of sorting through the vast backlog of images for the upcoming book, but to be honest I don't believe being planted front of a monitor for very long is good for anyone - for any reason - and the day I am unable to go shooting will be a dark one indeed.
There is a strong underlying desire to be out in nature, seeing more things and taking more pictures... on a daily basis if at all possible.

The budget for a new camera does not presently exist in any known form, so I have put the call out to the universe for assistance to acquire another so I can continue to capture and share unique imagery, and have set up a PayPal account for donations to the cause if anyone would care to help me in getting this one repaired or obtaining a suitable backup/replacement unit (or perhaps a substantial upgrade if my past work is deemed "worthy").

All contributions - of any amount - are most welcome and greatly appreciated, and you will have my eternal heartfelt gratitude for your kindness!

Peace and happiness to you all!
